ZTE announces new Blade A2 Plus smartphone in India at Rs 11,999

ZTE has launched a new smartphone in India making a re-entry into the country’s smartphone market. The company (not to be confused with Nubia) has been missing from the market for a while now and today it launched the Blade A2 Plus in India priced at Rs 11,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart from 6 February onwards.

The handset sports a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on top and is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with 4GB RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further with a microSD card as the handset offers a hybrid dual-SIM card tray.

Other features include a 13MP camera shooter on the back with a dual LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter. It features a metal body finish and a fingerprint scanner at the back.

Connectivity options include LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and a microUSB port. The most attractive feature of the smartphone is its 5,000mAh battery which should easily last a whole day.

Considering the number of budget smartphones in the market available today, the Blade A2 Plus will face tough competition from devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo P2 and the LeEco Le2.
