Zenfone 2 Laser vs. LeEco Le 1s: Which You Should Buy?
Budget smartphones sell like hot cakes in the market, which is why every company tries to capture the sub-$200 segment. A lot of phones in the last one year have been released in the $150-$200 price range and many of them have managed to hit the right chord with the buyers who don’t like to spend much on a smartphone.
LeEco Le 1s vs. Asus ZenFone 2 Laser
The Zenfone 2 Laser comes in two different variants- ZenFone 2 Laser ZE550KL and ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5. We will be considering the latter model here which has 3GB of RAM and faster processor.
Design and Display
The ZenFone series has got awarded for the best design, so there’s nothing to talk about. The ZenFone 2 Laser has got the power button on top (don’t worry there’s double-tap-to-unlock) and the volume keys at the back. The concentric circle at the bottom on the front adds a little zing, and overall, the phone looks good and subtly handsome. The phone gets 5.5-inch HD screen protected by Gorilla Glass 4.
The LeEco Le 1s has been appreciated for its all-metal unibody and perfect curves at the perfect places. The phone looks exquisite in Gold and gives a very premium feel, so much that you won’t believe it’s a $200 phone. This device gets a 5.5-inch FullHD screen with Gorilla Glass protection.
Processor, Memory, Battery
The ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and gets 3GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD. The phone runs Android Lollipop with ZenUI on top, and is juiced by a 3000mAh battery.
The LeEco Le 1s gets a 2.2GHz octa-core Helio X10 CPU and features 3GB of RAM. The internal storage is 32GB and is expandable. The phone runs Android Lollipop with the company’s own UI on it. This phone gets a 3000mAh battery too.
Camera and Other Features
Both the phones get a 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras with LED flash. But the ZenFone 2 Laser gets a dual-tone dual LED flash at the rear along with laser AF. Believe it or not, megapixels don’t necessarily mean great pictures. The camera on the Le 1s is an nice, acceptable one. But the ZenFone really nails it with great low-light performance, detailed shots, various camera features, and more.
The LeEco Le 1s gets an IR blaster and a fingerprint sensor, but the ZenFone does not get any such fancy goodies. Both the phones are 4G-enabled.
Price and Verdict
The LeEco Le 1s is priced at INR 11,999, while the ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5 costs INR 12,999. If you are looking for a budget phone that has got a great camera, then choose the ZenFone. For everything else, go with the Le 1s.
